Synopsis: Series on polygamy in the United States. Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton), who owns a chain of stores housewares, strives to maintain a balance between financial and emotional needs of Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) and Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin), his three wives. They live in separate but adjacent houses, but joined by a large inner courtyard with pool and garden. No work outside the home and using shift share to her husband every night. The three try to keep away the feeling banned in this family, jealousy, and preserve the secret of his strange way of life in a firm and strict Mormon community, and that polygamy is illegal in Utah and is frowned by the Mormon Church.
